About BrowserPod
BrowserPod is built by Leaning Technologies. We are an engineering company that works on WebAssembly and on native real software inside the browser. BrowserPod is the product that lets you boot full environments, such as Node.js, Python and Rails, in a browser tab, with no server doing the work behind it.
The same engine also runs compiled languages such as C++, Java and Go. Code runs close to the user, isolated from the host machine, and at a speed that is close to native. That is the part of the problem we have spent years on, and BrowserPod is where most of it comes together.

The founders
Leaning Technologies is founder-led and the team is mostly engineers. We are based in Leeds, UK and Amsterdam, NL. The work is ambitious, so we keep the team close together and hold a high standard for what ships.
Stefano De Rossi
Founder / CEO
Stefano co-founded Leaning Technologies and runs the company. Before that he spent around ten years doing research in academia and in industry labs, and his name is on several patents. He sets the direction for the work and keeps the company focused on building things well.
Alessandro Pignotti
Founder / CTO
Alessandro leads the engineering side and designed much of the WebAssembly tooling and in-browser runtimes that the products are built on, including BrowserPod. He spends most of his time on the hard technical problems and on keeping the quality bar high.
Massimo Grava
Founder
Massimo co-founded Leaning Technologies and looks after the operational side, turning the underlying technology into products that enterprise teams can actually rely on and adopt. He is an experienced entrepreneur and keeps the strategy grounded in customers and delivery.
